Today’s FTOD is courtesy of bilingual afro-latina rapper & Harlem native Melli who I first came across on Wit The Shits (W.T.S)off Meek Mill’s recently released 3rd studio album Championships. It’s safe to say I was pleasantly surprised as she absolutely body bagged the record with her sensual & hard-hitting bilingual verse. HML serves as her first release of the year and it features A Boogie, whose album Hoodie SZN will peak at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week. Going by this song, I’ll definitely be following her career keenly as I expect a few more singles from her to follow later this year and an EP potentially. Listen to the fire tune below

New Music Friday definitely served up a treat today. Superstar R&B singer Kehlani surprised fans with a new single today titled Nights Like This featuring my personal favourite R&B artist of the past 5 years Ty Dolla $ign. It serves as her first release of any kind since last year’s non-album single Again. It’s been almost 2 years since she released her awesome debut album SweetSexySavageand she followed the release up with the below tweet so it’s safe to say I expect a sophomore album later in the year. Enjoy the fire tune below
As always, be sure to check out the 2nd installment of the official Vibes Patron playlist. The Apple Music version can be found hereand the Spotify version below
We back baby! For good this time! The 2nd half of 2018 was a terrible period blogging wise and I can only apologise for that! Anyway, it’s a New Year and the plan is to be far more consistent this year with the fire but I’ll also update the 2018 playlist with all the best records from the 3rd & 4th quarter of last year. That aside, let’s get into the new selections for the year!
Future – Jumpin On A Jet
Super Future’s kicked off the New Year in spectacular fashion with his 7th studio album The Wizrd set to be released next week Friday on the 18th. He’s dropped two singles so far in the run up to the album including today’s featured fire tune Jumpin On A Jet which premiered yesterday. Peep the tune below and be sure to check out the album when it drops next week
21 Savage – Out For The Night, Part 2 Ft Travis Scott
21 Savage recently released his stellar 3rd studio album i am>i waslast month to rave reviews and it’s subsequently spent two consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard 200. Upon its release, he promised to add in a Travis Scott verse to one of the standout records on the album Out For The Night and he duly delivered with Part 2 this past Friday. Here the fire final product below
Headie One – 18HUNNA Ft. Dave
Drill rapper & current rave of the moment on our indecisive island Headie One premiered his first single of 2019 last week Thursday and it’s quickly garnered over a million views on Youtube & is on course to debut in the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart this week. He’s assisted on the record by fellow young beat bully Dave who delivered a stellar 16 as expected including telling his latest girl that they need a 3 week notice period before going their separate ways. I reckon we’ll be getting a Headie One album at some point this year but in the meantime enjoy the fire tune below

Today’s Fire tune servings are from two of my favourite rappers out; Travis Scott & YG!
Travis Scott – SICKO MODE Ft. Drake
Travis Scott finally dropped his long-awaited 3rd studio album ASTROWORLD to rave reviews this Friday. The album’s currently slated to move 400,000-500,000 stateside, which gives an indication of the commercial success of the album. Sonically, it’s also a masterpiece in my opinion & deciding on a fire tune to feature from the 17-track album was a bit of a challenge but it just had to be Sicko Mode featuring the 6 god. The tune has three different elements to it starting with a Drake intro & ending with a Tay Keith laced beat providing the backdrop for Drizzy & Travis Scott to go back-to-back and obliterate the record! Listen to the album here& peep the fire tune below
YG – CANT GET IN KANADA
YG also finally released his 3rd studio album STAY DANGEROUS after dropping two classics in My Krazy Life & Still Brazy within the past 5 years. It’s safe to say the Compton native did not disappoint with this project & I expect it to continue to grow in me with every additional listen. CANT GET IN KANADA is my current favourite hence why it’s today’s featured fire tune. Listen to the album hereand listen to the fire tune below
Listen to the official Vibes Patron Apple Music playlist hereor the Spotify version below
Dreamville artist Bas released his first single of the year earlier in the summer titled Boca Raton. The record features A$AP Ferg & it’s a fire tune by all indications. It’s shot straight to the top of my personal playlist and has gotten me excited for Bas’ next project, which will be his first since dropping his criminally underrated Too High To Riotalbum in 2016. Listen to the fire tune below

I know, I know, I know! I have disrespected this blog as it’s been over a month since my last month but in my defence, I’ve been ridiculously busy and the greatest show on Earth was on (the World Cup). However, to make up for it, I’m dropping a mega bumper post featuring my fave tunes over the past month, which are essential for your playlists rotation. Due to the sheer volume of the featured songs, I’ll try to keep the background on each song to one or two sentences. Enjoy and my your ears be happy!
Drake – In My Feelings x Mob Ties
Drizzy released his 5th studio album Scorpion earlier in the summer. In My Feelings has turned out to be the summer smash, while Mob Ties is my personal fave from Side A! Enjoy
The Carters – APESHIT
Beyonce & Jay-Z surprisingly released a 10 track collaborative album EVERYTHING IS LOVE earlier in the summer. APESHIT is my undeniable favourite & a certified summer banger
Mura Masa & Octavian – Move Me
London producer Mura Masa & young London MC Octavian collaborated on this absolutely fire record a few weeks ago. Hearing it live at Lovebox cemented it for me & its shot straight to the top of my personal playlist
Ambush Buzzworl – Jumpy Remix Ft. Chip & Skepta
I peeped the original song off a tweet earlier in the summer & the remix has just taken it to another level. Skepta & Chip came through with a pair of fire 16s for the remix & I hope Ambush can capitalise on the momentum over the coming months
DJ Snake & Niniola – Maradona Riddim
French producer DJ Snake jumped on Niniola’s smash afrobeat record Maradona. I like this remix cause the primary elements of the original song remain but DJ Snake’s beat adds another element to the song that can easily translate to the dance floors on this side of the world
MHD – Bella Ft. Wizkid
French afrotrap superstar MHD joined forces with the original Nigerian superstar starboy Wizkid and the resulting song is glorious. Listen below
Internet – It Gets Better (With Time)
The Internet dropped their 2nd studio album Hive Mind just over a week ago & It Gets Better is one of my standout songs from the dope LP

UK super producer Steel Banglez dropped his latest bop featuring young drill MC Loski Hot Steppa just over a week ago
Vegedream – Ramenez La Coupe À La Maison
Vegedream’s ode to the French national team on their win in Russia where he mentions all 23 members of the squad. I honestly learned about this song primarily through Pogba & Kimpembe’s instagram towards the latter stages of the World Cup and its super catchy

BROCKHAMPTON – 1999 WILDFIRE
All Indications point to a new BROCKHAMPTON LP release in the horizon as they’ve dropped back-to-back-to-back singles over the past 3 Fridays. 1999 WILDFIRE was the first of the 3 releases & I honestly love this song so much
Avelino – Boasy Ft. Not3s
I initially slept on this when it was released but its probably currently my favourite record of the summer excluding all the Drizzy bangers. Not3s delivers a fire hook & 16 as expected and Avelino also shines on this one

Future – 31 Days
Super Future surprisingly released BEASTMODE2 just over a fortnight ago & 31 DAYS is my standout off the tape, which was executive produced by Zaytoven
Not3s – Tuggyszn (Interlude)
UK rapper/singer Not3s has been on an unprecedented wave for the best part of 18 months culminating in the release of Take Notes 2 a fortnight ago. I love all 9 songs off the LP so choosing a feature song was a difficult one but Tuggyszn is a worthy choice
AJ Tracey & Not3s – Butterflies
I initially slept on this record when it dropped earlier in the summer even though it was from two of my favourite musicians out. Thankfully, i’ve come round to it and I now love the record! Listen to the bop below
Ella Mai – Boo’d Up Remix Ft. Nicki Minaj & Quavo
Ella Mai’s smash record Boo’d Up got a superstar remix earlier in the summer from Nicki Minaj & one of my favourites Quavo. Listen below

Hardy Caprio & One Acen are shooting 100% from the field when it comes to collaborations between the pair and Best Life keeps the record firmly intact
Christina Aguilera – Like I Do Ft. Goldlink
I didn’t see this particular collab coming but I’m here for it. Goldlink delivers a special 16, which takes the record to the next level. Enjoy below
Justin Timberlake – SoulMate
Justin Timberlake’s latest album dropped earlier this year & it surprisingly flopped. However, he’s already on his bounce back vibe and SoulMate is a great start
Jaden Smith – GHOST Ft. Christian Rich
Jaden Smith continues to flourish as time goes by & GHOST adds to his collection of fire records. The beat on this is something else & his flow just takes it home!
2 Chainz – Bigger Than You Ft. Drake & Quavo
One of my favourite rappers of the past 5/6 years 2 Chainz dropped the lead single Bigger Than You featuring my fellow faves Drake & Quavo and its one hell of a bop! The song’s currently slightly slept on in my opinion but I expect it to be a slow burner that eventually grows on everyone
Jeremih & Ty Dolla $ign – The Light
Two of the R&B gods out dropped the lead single off their soon-to-be-released collaborative mixtape and if its any indication off what to expect, there will be a lot of babies born in 9 months time
B Young – 079ME
B Young dropped the follow up to his smash record Jumanji and its a hell of a summer bop. Enjoy below
Chip – Dark Vader
Easily one of my favourite UK MCs out Chip dropped his first single since LOMO2 and he flexes his lyrical talent all over this one. Enjoy below
Young M.A – PettyWap
Young M.A might finally have her follow up smash to Oooouuuu with Pettywap. Enjoy the vibes below

Afrobeat legend Wande Coal dropped one of the afrobeat smashes of the summer in So Mi So. Enjoy the record produced by Juls

Back with another round of the finest tunes that dropped over the past week!
Tory Lanez – Pa Mi (with Ozuna)
Clearly not content with the success of his 2018 sophomore album Memories Don’t Die, Tory Lanez is back with an absolute monster of a record featuring latin trap superstar Ozuna. I don’t know what it is but I’ve seen myself love latin records more & more with each listen (my parents say I’ve been fascinated by the language since I was 7 years old) and Pa Mi continues the trend nicely. The hook is really the winner here but its one hell of a fire tune that everyone needs to check out. Listen to the banger below
Jorja Smith – On Your Own
British singer Jorja Smith released her debut album Lost & Found this Friday to rave reviews so far. I know it’s early days but it’s easily one of my favourite LPs of the year & the record hasn’t even been out for a week. Deciding on a fire tune from the album was a job in itself as Wandering Romance & The Onewere also in contention but I decided to go with my current favourite On Your Own. I honestly have no words to describe how amazing the song is, so listen to the LP here & press play on the FTOD below
One Acen – EIO Ft. Hardy Caprio
You know summer’s around the corner when there’s a new banger from One Acen & Hardy Caprio. Both artists have seen their stars steadily grow over the past two years with the constant release of fire tracks. EIO serves as yet another catchy banger, which I expect to translate nicely unto dance-floors throughout the summer & beyond. I’ve had a hard time getting it out of my head over the past few days for a reason; find out below
Future – Tie My Shoes Ft. Young Thug
The soundtrack album for the soon-to-be-released SUPERFLY movie dropped this past Friday & was curated by Atlanta superstar Future. The 13 track album sees Future feature on ten records & if you exclude the R&B records, it sounds like a dope Future mixtape in all honestly. My current favourite has to be Tie My Shoes featuring fellow sauce-god Young Thug. Check out the soundtrack album here & listen to the featured FTOD below
KIDS SEE GHOSTS (Kanye West & Kid Cudi) – 4th Dimension Ft. Louis Prima
Kanye West dropped off the latest 7-track album KIDS SEE GHOSTS from G.O.O.D Music this past Friday following Daytona & Ye. It’s the 2nd best project of the releases so far behind Daytona, which is in a league of its own. It’s a collaboration album between Kanye West & long-time collaborator/former signee/on-and-off friend Kid Cudi. The production on the record is phenomenal as we’ve seen on both previously released albumsbut the bars are good at best in my opinion. Either way, the standout record for me is 4th Dimension featuring Louis Prima, which is just an all-round great song to vibe to. Listen to the album here& check out the featured tune below

It’s officially been a year since I started the website & shoutout to every single soul who’s ever clicked unto the site and checked out the music! Without any further ado, today’s FTOD is this gem of a banger released by NY rapper A Boogie just under a fortnight ago and it features afrobeat superstar Davido. It’s an unexpected collaboration in all honesty but the chemistry of both artists on the song is undeniable and they perfectly complemented each other on Way Too Fly in my opinion. I hope this song gets the clout and airplay it deserves over the summer! Listen below

Big HUS is back and supplies today’s fire melodies for our listening pleasure! The London hitmaker released his Big Spang EP earlier today, which he’s been teasing for a while and stands as his first solo release since dropping his critically-acclaimed debut album Common Sense, which was my no.1 album of 2017 bar none. All 3 tracks on the EP are wavy records but I can see Dark Vader & Dancing Man ringing off at turn-up functions all summer long! Listen to the 3 track EP hereand check out the featured tunes below

Today’s FTOD is this absolute gem of a fire tune from Birmingham native Lady Leshurr. It’s a departure from her usual hard-hitting sound, which has effectively made her career up until this point. It feels like a bit of a reach as she’s never made anything previously like this but who am I to frown on an artist for expanding her sound and using influences from her Caribbean roots to make a potential summer banger, which is exactly what this tune is. Honestly, it is a fucking fuego tune and I expect this to age extremely well as the summer comes & goes by. Listen to the record below
