Today’s Fire tune servings are from two of my favourite rappers out; Travis Scott & YG!
Travis Scott – SICKO MODE Ft. Drake
Travis Scott finally dropped his long-awaited 3rd studio album ASTROWORLD to rave reviews this Friday. The album’s currently slated to move 400,000-500,000 stateside, which gives an indication of the commercial success of the album. Sonically, it’s also a masterpiece in my opinion & deciding on a fire tune to feature from the 17-track album was a bit of a challenge but it just had to be Sicko Mode featuring the 6 god. The tune has three different elements to it starting with a Drake intro & ending with a Tay Keith laced beat providing the backdrop for Drizzy & Travis Scott to go back-to-back and obliterate the record! Listen to the album here& peep the fire tune below
YG – CANT GET IN KANADA
YG also finally released his 3rd studio album STAY DANGEROUS after dropping two classics in My Krazy Life & Still Brazy within the past 5 years. It’s safe to say the Compton native did not disappoint with this project & I expect it to continue to grow in me with every additional listen. CANT GET IN KANADA is my current favourite hence why it’s today’s featured fire tune. Listen to the album hereand listen to the fire tune below

You know it’s a great day when there’s a new Drizzy verse for our ears to get excited about and that is exactly what today is with Yes Indeed, which is the brand new record by Atlanta rapper Lil Baby. The GOAT himself Drizzy delivered yet another outstanding verse on here and I’ve honestly wheeled the record up at least 30 times in the past 24 hours! Listen to the song, which premiered on OVO Sound radio this past Saturday below

I’ve got a bumper FTOD post for your listening pleasure today, so let’s get into it without any further ado!
Kojo Funds – Stallin’
The new Kojo Funds tune Stallin’ is everything and currently serves as my vibe of the summer! I literally can’t get the song out of my head. Kojo Funds just evokes a certain wave from his records & this follows the same pattern! It’s a fire tune by every account & this will be on rotation for a long while. Listen to the fire tune below
Rae Sremmurd (Swae Lee) – Touchscreen Navigation
Rae Sremmurd finally released the 3rd installment of their Sremmlife LP series this past Friday and the world is a better place as a result. The unique 3rd album sees both artists collaborate on the first 9 tunes off the album then embark on their solo projects (Swaecation & Jxmtro) over the next 9 songs respectively. As expected, Swae Lee stole the show on the album & Swaecation (one time for the title though!) feels like it should be a stand-alone tape off pure vibes. As alluded to by a mate earlier, Touchscreen Navigation just makes you want to ride a whip with the woman of your dreams & just vibe out to the tune. Listen to SR3MMLIFE 3here& listen to the featured tune below
GRM Daily – London’s Calling Ft. Skrapz, Avelino, Asco, Loski & AJ Tracey
GRM Daily did it yet again with their latest single London’s Calling featuring Skrapz, Avelino, Asco, Loski & AJ Tracey. The media house is shooting 100% from the field with every official single released so far. This record might just be the cream of the crop and in my humble opinion, AJ Tracey stole the show on this with his crisp 16 and fire footy reference as we’ve come to expect –
“Got my young strikers making names like Asensio”.
Peep the ridiculously fire tune below
Skepta – Pure Water
Nigerian Eagle & Tottenham MC Skepta surprisingly released his latest single Pure Water yesterday and I’m here for it as expected. Skeppy’s always been one of my favourite UK MCs but the way he’s embraced his Nigerian roots over the past two years has raised my love for him up a notch! I’m convinced this record and it’s hook ‘Pure water and lots of ice’ was inspired by his frequent trips to Nigeria as pure water is a common term in Nigeria and used to refer to cold water bagged up in small plastic bags usually sold on the motorway. Either way, it’s a bop and a half and I’m here for it. Listen to the fire tune below
Slowthai – Ladies
This song right here alludes to one of my primary reasons for starting the blog. I had no idea who Slowthai was 12 hours ago but my mate told me to check out this one song and I duly obliged so here we are. It is a banger and a half and just a brilliantly made rap record. I’ll definitely be checking for any & every forthcoming release from Slowthai off the back of Ladies, it’s honestly that lit! Check out the visuals and fire tune below

I’ve got a triple-threat serving for your ears today, so let’s get into it without any further ado!
Chip – Marijuana Ft. MIST
Chip’s always been one of my favourite UK rappers out and he finally released his first single of 2018 and it’s a banger as expected! It’s his first release since dropping League Of My Own 2, which was easily one of my favourite LPs of 2017. Marijuana was produced by UK super producer Sevaqk and features a fellow fave of mine MIST. In a nutshell, this tune is such a vibe and hearing it being blared out from a woman’s car over the weekend pretty much increased my gas levels towards this tune. Listen to the banger below
Hardy Caprio – Naij
Blog favourite Hardy Capriodropped his latest single Naij last week & it’s a vibe as expected. As a Nigerian myself, I had to check out the record and it’s safe to say Caprio did it again. I’m not sure what the goat in the artwork & video symbolises but let the young upcoming superstar rock! Listen to the fire tune below
Niska – Réseaux Ft. Quavo & Stefflon Don
Niska‘s a French rapper who I had no previous knowledge until this past Friday, when I stumbled on his remix featuring Quality Control’s own Quavo & Stefflon Don and my ears were immediately impressed! I played the track multiple times over the weekend & my twin brother was super gassed by the song and requested multiple wheel ups and I knew it had to be featured on the blog! Peep the fire tune below

With all the new music dropping today, it’s only right that I run through the best drops over the past week. Enjoy the fire below
The Weeknd – Wasted Times
The Weeknd shocked fans with the release of his latest EP My Dear Melancholy last week Friday & it took me right back to Trilogy Abel vibes,. Hopefully he continues releasing music in this vein cause it’s fucking incredible. The 6 track EP was clearly motivated by ex relationships, most notably Selena Gomez, who I never assumed to have the sauce that strongly, but the EP boderline made me change my mind on that opinion. It’s a beautiful body of work and the standouts in my opinion are Call Out My Name & today’s featured tune Wasted Times, which I’ve been absolutely obsessed with since it dropped. Listen to the EP here and listen to the fire tune below
Tinashe – Me So Bad Ft. Ty Dolla $ign & French Montana
It’s been over 2 years since Tinashe announced the release of Joyride but it looks like the album will finally drop next week, which is rather exciting. I’ve been a fan of the LA native since she released her self-written mixtapes Reverie & Black Water back in 2012 and 2013 respectively. She gained mainstream clout with 2013’s 2 On featuring Schoolboy Q but it’s always been clear that she’s destined for great things. I noticed a change in her music output once she singed to RCA Records, which is expected as you get more label involvement in your recording process. However, I have high expectations for Joyride when it drops next week, especially after listening to Me So Bad featuring Ty Dolla $ign & French Montana, which is a certified banger. This album has been a long time coming, so make sure you check it out next week but enjoy her latest single in the meantime below
Mike Will Made It – Aries (YuGo) Part 2 Ft. Rae Sremmurd, Pharrell, Quavo & Big Sean
Super producer Mike Will Made It premiered the remix of his Ransom 2 hosted single Aries last week featuring Rae Sremmurd, Pharrell, Quavo & Big Sean and it’s a super banger to say the least. The USP of this banger lies in the infectious hook vocalised by music legend Pharrell and Lord knows I’m on my way to being the nigga with the bag! Enjoy the banger below
Ne-Yo – Push Back Ft. Bebe Rexha & Stefflon Don
Ne-Yo released his latest single in forever last week & it’s a smash in all honesty. Yes, it’s very pop-oriented but a banger is a banger and that is exactly what Push Back is. Bebe Rexha & the UK’s Stefflon Don perfectly complemented the R&B legend on this record. Peep the tune below
Smokepurpp & Murda Beatz – Do Not Disturb Ft. Offset & Lil Yatchy
Florida rapper Smokepurpp & super producer Murda Beatz released a joint single last week featuring Quality Control’s Lil Yachty & Offset. The result is a banger and a half, which I’ve struggled to get out of my head, especially the hook. Listen to the banger below
Preme – Hot Boy Ft. Lil Wayne
Canadian artist & OVO signee Preme formerly known as P. Reign, released his first single in over a year last week titled Hot Boy featuring one of the GOATs Weezy and it’s a heater! Listen to the fire below
Octavian – Hands
London rapper & new wave connoisseur Octavian released his latest single Hands last week Friday to rave reviews within the UK scene. Octavian’s a breath of fresh air with his unique take on rap, which blends in elements of dance and house music like nothing I’ve previously heard. After gaining acclaim from his debut single Party Here, the young MC now has the eyes of the world on him and on further evidence, we’ll be doing just that going forward. He’s straight up special and Hands is a straight up banger. Peep the record and visuals below

Apologies for the longest hiatus since the website went live and there’s no particularly reasonable excuse for it. Either way, I’m back again with 9 absolutely fire tunes, which have dropped over the past fortnight and all deserve to be shared with the world!
WSTRN – Lovestruck Ft. Tiwa Savage & Mr Eazi
WSTRN continue to shoot 100% from the field with their releases over the past few months and Lovestruck is no exception to the mould. After raising the roof with the exceptional Ben Ova & complementing One Acen perfectly on Vice Versa, Lovestruck sees the group connect with afrobeat superstars Mr Eazi & Tiwa Savage. All artists on this record did themselves justice but it’s hard to ignore Haile’s falsetto, which has brought about yet another memorable hook for the ages. Check out the video & stream the banger below
AJ Tracey – Mimi
One of my favourite MCs out AJ Tracey released his first single of 2018 this past Friday and it’s a heater as expected. Check out the cold visuals below
23 Unofficial – Day In The Life
I recently got into 23 Unofficial after hearing him steal the show on B Young’s Jumanji remix. Here’s his latest release and it’s a litty one
Snakehips – Cruzin’ Ft. St Rulez
Snakehips are easily one of my favourite production duos out there & they continue to impress with every release. Well known for the feel good vibes of their records, the London duo continuously remind me of the summertime. Cruzin’ is another track in the mould & will be on repeat for a long time. Listen below
Yxng Bane – Vroom
Disturbing London artist Yxng Bane continues his impressive 2018 with the release of Vroom. The single serves as the follow up to the impressive Corner featuring Maleek Berry which dropped earlier in the year & it coincided with the latest Dope Chef line release. Check out the record below
Sango – Out My Way/ Around You (feat. Marr Grey, RELLA, July 7 & Devin Tracy
Famed Seattle producer Sango finally released his long awaited full studio album In The Comfort Of 10 days ago and it’s an impressive body of work. After wowing me with his Brazilian music inspired sounds on the Da Rocinha series, it’s also good to see him deliver the goods on a more traditional sounding R&B influenced dance record. Listen to one of the standout records Out My Way/Around You below
Years & Years – Sanctify
British group Years & Years released the first single of their forthcoming second studio album earlier in the month of March and its a beauty of a tune. Sanctify sees lead singer Olly Alexander flex his vocal range yet again and the result is a potential no.1 record. Listen to the song below
Wretch 32 & SOS – Affi Me Ft. Culan & Masicka
UK rap legend Wretch 32 released his first single of 2018 earlier in March titled Affi Me. It’s a dancehall influenced song featuring Culan & Masicka. Listen to the banger below
Vince Staples – Get The Fuck Off My Dick
Long Beach native Vince Staples released the hilarious but introspective Get The Fuck Off My Dick earlier in the month. It follows up the hard hitting Opps, which featured on the Black Panther soundtrack album. Enjoy the banger below

Today’s FTOD is the timely remix to Eminem’s trackChloraseptic. The original song featured on Eminem’s ninth studio album Revival, which dropped just under a month ago in the middle of December to relatively lukewarm reviews from critics & fans alike but the official remix to one of the standout records from the tape should at least bring some reprieve to Eminem in the eyes of his fans. The record features the one & only 2 Chainz, who continues to rap his ass off and showcased his entire repertoire of skills on it, which resulted in an early verse of the year contender in my opinion. The song also features Phresher, who delivered a dope verse & Eminem also did his thing as well! Check out Em’s Revival album here & check out the FTOD below
Disturbing London artist A2 released his debut album BLUE just under 2 weeks ago & it’s a heater to say the least. I’ll have to admit that I didn’t know who he was until last week when I stumbled across a post about the project. A friend of mine brought him up again & mentioned that it was a good listen, so I had to check the project out for myself & boy am I happy I did. He clearly has slight similarities to Bryson Tiller but I believe his sound is still unique & unlike anything that’s ever come out of the UK before. He’s signed to Disturbing London, which can be seen as a quality stamp of approval but the music does most of the talking on behalf of the Londoner. BLUE serves as an acronym for Before Love Undoes Everything & I urge anyone who comes across this post to check out the album here& enjoy the fire tune below.
Massive massive apologies for the lack of posts recently as I’ve been super busy with work & life but I’m here to redeem myself with all my favourite heat over the past fortnight so let’s get into it without any further ado
Roy Woods – The Way You Sex
Roy Woods finally dropped his long-awaited debut studio album Say Less this past Friday and it’s a heater! I’m in love with the album & I currently find no song skippable. Choosing a feature tune off the album was a struggle between Something New & The Way You Sex but the chosen song is currently stuck in my head so here you go. I urge everyone to check the album out here & check the album out below
Miguel – Banana Clip
Miguel finally released his long-awaited 4th studio album War & Leisure and the real Miguel is back baby! The album is everything I expected & it brought my expectations of him back to post-Kaleidoscope dream Miguel levels. The music universe is a better place as a result of this album & it’s honestly a very impressive body of work. Choosing a feature tune on here was a struggle as it could’ve easily been Criminal Ft. Rozay, Told You So or even Caramelo Duro featuring Kali Uchis. However, Banana Clip is my current fave, which gives it the edge and I’m sure you’ll all be pleased with my choice. Listen to the album here & the FTOD below
Davido – Like Dat
Davido’s currently experiencing Steph Curry’s levels of efficiency in 2017. He’s already supplied us with 3 absolute bangers including If, Fall & Fia. OBO has followed them up with the incredible Like Dat. Efficiency like this in the music in the music industry must be celebrated & Like This is yet another super banger to add to the collection. Surely OBO’s 2nd second studio album must be in the works & close to a release but enjoy this wonderful tune below
Ajebutter 22 – Anything For The Boys Ft. Odunsi
Vibes Patron regulat Ajebutter 22 finally released his long-awaited sophomore studio album just over a week ago. For someone holding a day job outside music, his output and dedication his craft is admirable & very impressive. What Happens In Lagos is a very impressive body of work and showcases 22’s full range as a rapper. Listen to the album here & listen to the FTOD below
Maleek Berry – Pon Mi Mind
Berry’s had as impressive a year as almost any other afrobeat artist out there. Since garnering attention as a producer with credits on Wizkid’s The Matter, the British-born Nigerian artist has expanded his repertoire as an artist especially after the release of the infectious Kontrol. Maleek Berry has found his sound and I expect him to be here for a while. Listen to his latest fire single Pon Mi Mind below
Miguel – Come Through & Chill Remix Ft. J.Cole
(Intended previous post: wrote on November 30th) Miguel’s 4th studio album War & Leisure drops tomorrow & I feel like a legitimate comeback is on the way, especially after hearing Sky Walker featuring the one & only Travis Scott. I believe Miguel suffered from the success of Kaleidoscope Dream & tried to replicate the formula on Wildheart but it failed to connect with fans on the same level. However, the American seems to have bounced back and every single release from the upcoming album has been fire. As we await the full project, the Come Through & Chill remix featuring J. Cole was dropped for our listening pleasure & it is lit! Listen to the fire tune below
Joyner Lucas – I’m Not Racist
This song right here requires litte introduction. Joyner Lucas is an amazing rapper who my mate put me into a few months ago. The song touches on all the uncomfortable elements of racial tension that can be avoided from time to time. Please just listen & enjoy the introspective tune below.
Nigerian budding superstar BOJdropped his long-awaited debut studio album Magic this past Friday and it’s a beautiful body of work to say the least. BOJ has carved out a unique & niche lane for himself in the industry primarily due to his unique baritone voice, which has made him a go-to artist for standout hooks (Ajebutter 22’s Omo Pastor & SDC’s Feel Alright quickly spring to mind) . His star is clearly on the rise and Magic serves as a perfect introduction to his artistry for any new fans. The 15-track album is littered with great songs, which made the task of picking one rather difficult but I decided to go with the album title track because I currently can’t get it out of my head. Listen to the album here& check out the FTOD below
