May’s been one hell of a month for new music! Initially starting off with super saiyan fire singles dropping right, left and centre and then topping it off with over 6 top tier albums dropping over the past fortnight from Santi, Megan The Stallion, Khaled, Slowthai, Leven Kali to Tyler The Creator! Let’s just say music fans have been eating all month & there’s no sign of things slowing down. Here are 17 of the finest selections to have dropped throughout the month.

Tyler The Creator – EARFQUAKE
One of the standouts off Tyler’s excellent 5th studio album IGOR

2019’s sensation & Southern rapper Megan The Stallion came through major on her latest LP Fever, which includes the featured standout Simon Says
slowthai – Inglorious Ft. Skepta
One of the standouts of slowthai’s fire & politically charged new album Nothing Great About Britain. Who the fuck pissed off Skepta this year by the way cause he is bodied every single verse he’s laid on wax this year
DJ Khaled – Higher Feat. Nipsey Hussle & John Legend
A tear dropper from DJ Khaled featuring the late Nipsey Hussle & John Legend, who came through with a hook for the ages. Taken off his latest album Father of Asahd
Leven Kali – Cassandra
Low Tide’s easily one of my favourite albums of the year so far with numerous standouts to choose from including the catchy Cassandra. I guarantee you won’t be able to get the hook out of your head
Flying Lotus – More
The production on this is just plain nuts and Anderson Paak does it justice!
Jamila Woods
One hell of a tune from the Chicago singer
Goldlink – Zulu Screams Ft. Maleek Berry
I was pleasantly surprised by this collaboration, which has resulted in one of the potential tunes of the summer in my opinion
WSTRN – Medusa Feat. Unknown T
Do WSTRN ever miss? Their current run of hits is honestly unprecedented since the group were forced to turn solo and Medusa cements that for the foreseeable future.
Skepta – Greaze Mode Ft. Nafe Smallz
Earlier in the month, Skepta announced his surprise album Ignorance in Bliss, which is slated for release in just over a week on the 31st and premiered two new singles including the hard hitting Greaze Mode
Ari Lennox – Speak To Me
Ari Lennox dropped one hell of a stellar debut album in Shea Butter Baby with Speak To Me being one of my absolute faves
Jhene Aiko – Triggered (freestyle)
Jhene took us right back with a stunning vocal performance on this relatable masterpiece
Jaykae & Aitch – On The Way Home Feat. Bowzer Boss
Brum & Liverpool collide on this refreshing tune. Turn this up!
Ambush Buzzworl – Dem Man
Ambush delivers yet again with a tune in time for the summer
Headie One – All Day
Headie’s having one hell of a 2019 dropping 18HUNNA, following that up with the impressive Drillers x Trappers II and maintaining that streak with All Day
