Fire Tune Of The Day: Majid Jordan – Gave Your Love Away

Today’S FTOD will be simple & to the point! OVO  sound’s Majid Jordan dropped their incredible sophomore studio album on Friday & it’s one of the best releases of the year in my opinion, it’s that good!. Please listen to the album here & check out one of the standout tracks Gave Your Love Away below

Fire Tune Of The Day: Chris Brown – Hope You Do

Breezy’s dropping his 8th studio album next week & he released 3 tracks in support of the release yesterday. We all know Chris Brown’s track record with dropping fire tunes & this is the standout from the singles released so far in my opinion. Make sure you check out the 45-track album next week but enjoy this gem of a tune in the meantime.

Fire Tune Of The Day: Ty Dolla $ign – Don’t Sleep On Me Ft. Future & 24hrs x Migos – Motor Sport Ft. Nicki Minaj & Cardi B

So i’m off to to get turnt so I’ll be keeping this point brief. I couldn’t decide on why tune to feature so i’m highlighting both

Ty Dolla $ign – Don’t Sleep On Me Ft. Future & 24hrs

Ty Dolla $ign finally released the 3rd instalment of his Beach house mixtape series today & it’s matched my excessive expectations for it. In my opinion, no R&B artist out there matches Ty’s ability to drop well-rounded & amazing LP’s. Yes, Chris Brown’s better at making hit records but Dolla has consistently released amazing bodies of work that can be listened to without skipping a single track & Beach House 3 is no exception. I could have easily featured 5 or 6 tunes from the tape but I decided to go with Don’t Sleep On Me as it’d my current fave! I strongly urge anyone who sees this to check out the f

Migos – Motor Sport Ft. Nicki Minaj & Cardi B

Migos finally dropped off the first single off Culture II featuring Nicki Minaj & Cardi B today. The rap group became bonafide A-list superstars with the release of Bad & Boujee last year & they cemented their spot in the game with the release of the excellent Culture album earlier this year. Motor Sport showcases all the elements of the Migos that we love & both female emcees drop off fire 16s for us to enjoy! Enjoy the FTOD below

Fire Tune Of The Day: Hardy Caprio & Tion Wayne – Cmon

Croydon rapper Hardy Caprio & North London’s Tion Wayne surprised fans with the release of Cmon this past Friday & I have to say that it’s probably my favourite song from both artists in their relatively young careers so far. Hardy Caprio has had a stellar 2017 so far initially dropping off his Hollywood EP in April, which he swiftly followed up with Unsigned Ft. One Acen & has gone on to clock up over 10 million plays on Spotify so far. 2017 has also been very good to Tion Wayne, who dropped off his Transition EP in August which includes the impressive I’m On featuring Kojo Funds. C’mon was shot in Bangkok & was produced by

Fire Tunes Of The Day Featuring Future and Young Thug, Krept and Konan, Heavy K, Majid Jordan & Dreezy

Massive apologies for the lack of posts over the past week but I’m here to give you all a full serving of recent fire tunes to make up for it in full measure. Without any further ado, let’s get into it

Future & Young Thug -Patek Water Ft. Offset

Atlanta natives Future & Young Thug surprised the world this past Friday with the release of their joint mixtape Super SlimeyThe 13-track LP arrived at the perfect time to halt the recent slowdown of quality rap LP releases over the past quarter in comparison to the first half of the year. The standout record for me has to be the Offset-assisted Patek Water & there’s an argument for the Migos member having the best verse on the song too. Peep the fire tune below

Krept & Konan – Ask Flipz Ft. Stormzy

South London duo Krept & Konan finally released their highly anticipated double album/mixtape 7 Days & 7 Nights this past Friday.  The duo have been relatively quiet all year up until this point but it’s been worth the wait. 7 Days is the more uptempo tape & includes features from Stormzy, Skepta & J Hus to name a few. 7 Nights on the other hand, has a more laid back vibe and includes features from Jhene Aiko, Tory Lanez & Hudson East. After a few listens, I can say that both projects are banging & have been very well sequenced but I have to listen a few more times to see where they both stand in my album of the year ranks. Listen to one of the standout records Ask Flipz Ft. Stormzy below & make sure you check out the tapes in the hyperlinks above.

Heavy K – Inde Featuring Bucie & Nokwazi

I’m going to cut straight to the chase with this one. I watched a clip on South African rapper Cassper Nyovest’s Instagram stories last week Friday where he mentioned that this was his favourite house tune at the moment. Being the inquisitive music junkie that I am, I decided to listen to the song & boy was I impressed with what I heard. It’s been on repeat ever since & has shot up to the upper echelons of my personal playlist. After doing a little research, I found out that Heavy K’s a producer & DJ signed to Universal Music SA and he’s been a staple in the South African House scene since 2013, which is totally expected judging by this fire tune. Listen to the brilliant song below

Majid Jordan – Body Talk

OVO Sound’s Majid Jordan will finally release their sophomore studio album The Space Between this Friday (October 27th). The duo have released 4 singles in support of the album, including today’s featured Body Talk, which was released this past Friday. I have to admit, this particular song has amped up my excitement for the album & I can’t wait to listen to it when it drops. In the meantime, check out the FTOD below.

Dreezy – Spar Ft. 6LACK & Kodak Black

While sorting through official Apple Music playlists for new heat over the weekend, I stumbled across this absolute banger of a tune by Chicago rapper Dreezy. The record features Atlanta’s rave of the moment 6lack & Florida rapper Kodak Black who both bodied the record alongside Dreezy. The song is very politically charged but executed in a mellow & utterly sensational way. I don’t often come across spectacular songs when I go through official playlists but this definitely bucks the trend & I’m now excited to see what Dreezy does next with her career. Listen to the record below

Fire Tune Of The Day: Mahalia – Hold On Ft. Buddy

Today’s one of those happy days when I inadvertently stumble upon an artist & have to feature them on the website cause I’m just blown away by the music. Birmingham-based Mahalia was featured on the highly influential Youtube music channel COLORS last month where she performed her Sober single, which led to her set going viral and it popped up on my Twitter feed yesterday. As if that wasn’t already a big enough sign, a close friend of mine DM’d me the same set to check out today, so I was clearly destined to listen to her music. She’s signed to Asylum Records via Atlantic & dropped her latest single Hold On featuring US rapper Buddy this past Friday and it’s a heater to say the least. I’m currently listening to her 11-track Diary Of Me project, which dropped last year and it’s a great indication of her sound & versatility. I’m eight songs in and can already tell she’s destined for big things. Listen to the fire tune below & be sure to follow the official Vibes Patron Apple Music or Spotify playlists here and here respectively.

Fire Tune Of The Day: BOJ – Magic

Nigerian budding superstar BOJ dropped his long-awaited debut studio album Magic this past Friday and it’s a beautiful body of work to say the least. BOJ has carved out a unique & niche lane for himself in the industry primarily due to his unique baritone voice, which has made him a go-to artist for standout hooks (Ajebutter 22’s Omo Pastor & SDC’s Feel Alright quickly spring to mind) . His star is clearly on the rise and Magic serves as a perfect introduction to his artistry for any new fans. The 15-track album is littered with great songs, which made the task of picking one rather difficult but I decided to go with the album title track because I currently can’t get it out of my head. Listen to the album here & check out the FTOD below

Fire Tune Of The Day: Mabel – Begging

Just got back from the J. Cole show at the o2 so I’m keeping today’s FTOD brief. Mabel’s been on a steady role and dropped her latest mixtape Ivy To Roses Mixtape on Friday. Begging’s the standout record for me and it’s an absolute banger. Listen to the FTOD below

Fire Tune Of The Day: dvsn – Morning After

I’m super excited to share today’s FTOD courtesy of OVO Sound’s dvsn. The group consists of singer Daniel Daley & super producer Nineteen85, who produced Hotline Bling, One Dance & Hold On, We’re Going Home for Drizzy to name a few.  The duo are probably responsible for a good amount of pregnancies since the release of their stellar debut SEPT 5TH in March 2016. Their highly anticipated sophomore album Morning After finally dropped yesterday & pretty much every song could’ve been the featured fire tune of the day; it’s honestly that good! I ended up going for the beautifully composed album title track Morning After. Listen to the album here & check out the FTOD below

Fire Tune Of The Day: AJ Tracey – You Don’t Know Me Ft. Craig David

Site regular AJ Tracey supplies today’s FTOD with You Don’t Know Me taken off his 8-track Secure The Bag EP, which was released this past Friday.  The song features Craig David, who delivers an impeccable hook & AJ came through with the fire 16s as expected. My personal standout line on this one has to be the clever play on the Migos bandmates –

“They call me rich, I’m the kid tryna’ face off…Dat way, offset the girls and I take-off”.

The EP’s of the highest quality and I urge everyone to check it out here and listen to the FTOD below.
